Does it highlight changed words within a line?
It compares line by line. If one character in a line changes, that line shows as removed and re-added.
Can it compare very long texts?
If the input is too large for a line-by-line comparison, you're told it was treated as a full replacement. Split it into smaller parts.

No. The comparison happens inside this browser.
