Good to know

  • Japanese and Chinese are measured in confirmed characters, not keystrokes
  • Best scores are kept only in this browser on this device — clearing site data removes them

Frequently asked questions

How is typing speed measured in Japanese or Chinese?

By characters you confirm in your input method per minute, not by keys pressed — the number of keystrokes varies widely between romaji, kana, pinyin and other ways of typing. Only correctly typed characters count.

Why is my reaction time different on another device?

The time it takes for the screen to visibly change and for your tap to arrive varies with display refresh rate, wireless mice and touchscreens — often by tens of milliseconds. Compare scores on the same device for a fair result.

Where are my scores saved?

Your best scores stay only in this browser and are not sent anywhere. The result card is drawn in your browser too, and only goes where you save or share it.
