0About this tool
Shrink a photo's file size and change its dimensions or format. Compression and conversion both happen inside your browser, so the original never goes to a server.
How to use it
- 1 Drop in your photos — several at once is fine.
- 2 Choose Small, Medium or Large and the resulting size updates on the spot. Format and quality are under More options.
- 3 Download the result — several images come down together as a ZIP.
Good to know
- It cannot beat the original's quality — enlarging softens the picture
- Many very large photos at once can overwhelm the browser
Frequently asked questions
What happens to the photo's location data (EXIF)?
EXIF data such as capture location, device and time does not survive into the output. Running a photo through once before posting it online is enough to clear the location data.
Which format should I pick?
For photos going on the web, WebP is smallest at a given quality. Choose JPEG when it has to open everywhere, and PNG when you need a transparent background.
Can I send the result to someone directly?
You can send the result to the file-sharing tool and get a link. That does upload the file, and only ever because you chose to.
