- 3 Press Download pages as images to download the JPGs.
Good to know
- Shrinking only recompresses the photos inside — a text-only PDF barely gets smaller
- Cannot set or remove passwords — a protected PDF will not open
- Doesn’t edit the text or images on a page — it works page by page
- Does not read text out of scanned pages (this is not OCR)
Frequently asked questions
Which resolution should I choose?
150 for viewing on screen or sending in a chat; 300 for printing or zooming into small text. At 300 the files are several times larger.
Can I get PNG instead?
Yes — choose PNG as the image format under More options. Pages full of text and lines look crisper as PNG.
How are the image files named?
The original PDF name followed by the original page number, so you can tell which page each image was even after removing or reordering pages.
