Meta Tag & Open Graph Generator

Enter your page's title, description, URL, preview image and site name, and get the title, meta description, canonical, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags to paste into <head>. Empty fields produce no tag at all, so there's no blank og:image by mistake.

Frequently asked questions

How long should the title and description be?

To avoid truncation in search results, aim for roughly 50–60 characters for the title and 150–160 for the description. Use the counts to adjust.

Are these used for link previews?

Yes. Slack, Facebook, LinkedIn and most messengers read og:title, og:description and og:image. Use a full https URL for the image.

Can values contain quotes or <?

Yes. &, ", < and > are escaped when the tags are built.
