Frequently asked questions
How is WPM calculated?
Every five correctly typed characters, spaces included, count as one word. Your WPM is that number divided by the minutes you typed.
Does fixing a typo improve my accuracy?
Yes. Accuracy is based on what is left in the box when time runs out, so a corrected character counts as correct — but the time spent fixing it lowers your WPM.
Can I test my typing in another language?
Yes. Switch the practice text to any of the 15 languages. Korean is counted in keystrokes, and Japanese and Chinese in characters per minute.
